The green monkey has been an important stuffed animal in our house for over two years now. Originally, he was Claire's monkey and she slept with him every night. Claire was never a blanky kid but definitely a green monkey kid. Kaki and Pop Pop will never forget the sad little Claire Bear calling them after she left monkey at the beach house one weekend asking them to bring back her green monkey.
A few months ago, being the great sister that she is, Claire decided Mallory needed a turn with the green monkey. They actually shared him for a while and took turns sleeping with him every other night (I will never understand how they worked that out). Recently, Claire let Mallory have him on a fulltime basis and now Mallory can't live without him. She calls him "baby" and as you can see from the picture, she can fall asleep anywhere if she has her green monkey. Thanks, Claire!

Oh my gosh, this is the cutest! I can't believe Claire passed on her beloved monkey. Caroline has a pink doggy. We were fortunate to find a second one, so we have a back-up and rotate them weekly. If she ever sees both at the same time on accident, she just says...one doggy for Caroline and one for Mommy. :)
