Claire and Mallory

We had another exciting weekend. We started out by celebrating grandma Kaki's birthday on Saturday morning. The cousins played together and had such a great time. Mallory is almost 9 months old and at this point we think she's going to skip crawling and go straight to walking. She's very interested in standing up. On Sunday we switched Claire's crib into a day bed so she has freedom now. I think this was the smoothest transition we could have hoped for, although it's only been one day/night. For nap yesterday, she played in her room for an hour but them crawled in bed and slept for one and a half hours. At bed time, we let her stay up a little later than normal and went up to her room and read books, we both kissed her goodnight around 8 and shut her door and she stayed in her bed the entire night until I went in to get her at 7 a.m. When I walked in this morning she said, "can I get down please?" I'm sure she'll soon figure out that she can get out and play in the morning before I come get her but she didn't cry at all or get scared and slept all night long. Most importantly, she didn't roll out of her bed!
