Claire's second birthday party was a great success. She ate a ton of sugar and played with all her friends, cousins, grandparents, etc. She got many wonderful toys and clothes. We all especially love the My Pretty Ponies, Pound Puppies, and Mr. Potato Heads that we received as kids too. Claire may have gotten a little crazy eating cupcakes. Although it was funny watching her go around the room taking bites of everyone's cupcakes, it wasn't so funny when she was puking all night from a sugar O.D. What a night!
Claire had her 2 year checkup at the doctor on Friday and she is at 100% for height at almost 37 inches and 75% for weight, just over 28 lbs. She is growing so well and after the doctor heard her speak she didn't have any question about her language development. She was talking the whole time and even said "thank you" to the doctor after her exam. Needless to say, I don't think the doctor hears that very much and was pleasantly surprised. The only thing Claire didn't like was having to sit there naked in her diaper waiting for the doctor so she decided to put on her socks, shoes and coat while we waited. I tried not to laugh but it was pretty funny to see her in her tennis shoes, pink puffy coat and a diaper.
